History: I've wanted a Viper since they first appeared on the pages of performance magazines in 1991. The addition of antilock brakes for the '01 model year was the final straw, and my dear wife Liz agreed to let me add one to our stable. I purchased the Viper over the phone from Bill Pemberton of Woodhouse Dodge (whom I highly recommend!) and on December 27 2000, the Viper delivery truck rolled into the E.piphany parking lot. A host of my coworkers turned out to witness the delivery, and it's been attracting attention ever since. Yellow was not, perhaps, the most subtle of colors, but then the Viper is not a subtle car in any color.
Pictures: The Viper is a very photogenic car, and I've created a page for Viper Photos for those interested in some collected images.
Modifications: As is my wont, the yellow Viper didn't remain stock for long. I've run a gradual buildup program which started about 2 weeks after purchase (and a day after break-in completed) and documented my changes and their results for the benefit of other Viper owners. A complete list of the changes I've made, and their effects, may be found on my Viper modification page
The Viper Family: In September '01 I showed my wife a picture of the limited edition Viper Daytona. Four days later Viper #2 was parked in our driveway:
Liz's Daytona went back to Woodhouse in September '02 to make room for her new '03 SRT-10:
The SRT is "mostly stock", but we still race it for yucks.
