When Mercedes announced that they were producing a >600HP convertible with a warranty, I knew I had to find a way to get one into my garage. This Silver Arrow anniversary edition made its home in the space vacated by my much-missed (but rarely driven) 2001 Viper RT/10. From day 1, it impressed me as fast, smooth, fast, comfortable, and did I mention FAST? I didn't suspect it would be as fast as it actually was, however:
Yes, that's my bone stock SL65 running 125.6 MPH in the 1/4... Woah!!
For my next trick, I'm having the ECU reflashed to take advantage of the extra power latent in the engine, and heading back to the 'strip with some real tires.
